A board member of Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO) has hailed the else while Kojo Antwi administration of GHAMRO for being all inclusive and openness compare to the current administration.
The music maestro Kojo Antwi and his team were sworn into office as the new Chairman in February 13, 2015, to serve a two-year term, together with eight other board members. Their turnur ended in the year 2017.
Kojo Antwi served his tunuer with James Kwaku Tuffour as Deputy Chairman and Ahmed Banda (Bandex) also a Deputy Chairman.
The rest were Diana Hopeson, Zapp Mallet, Mary Ghansah, Nana Kwaku Duah (Tic Tac), Bessa Simons Henry and Augustina Addison but Kojo failed to seek reelection after his term.
Kojo Antwi was slated to contest and retain his seat as Chairman of GHAMRO but intense backlash from members compelled him to change his mind.
Reacting to couple of corruption allegations which that have bedeviled the current GHAMRO administration on Onua FM’s Anigye Mbre hosted by Christian Agyei Frimpong on Thursday, a board member, Akosua Agyapong said in Twi “Kojo Antwi knew I had ideas so he invited me to come and help and I went”.
“It was a round table discussion. Kojo Antwi called me and when he [Kojo Antwi] left and you came, you are telling me I am not relevant”, he explained.
The Me ye obaa hit maker alleged that “the current GAMRO administration do not have one receipt. They have four different receipts”.
The current GHAMRO is being chaired by Rex Omar, Ahmed Banda (Bandex) as the Vice Chairman and Abraham Adjei (Agya Abraham) as the administrator.
