Dramatic as Parliamentary Aspirant orders cars be sent back to their destination

There was drama and an outburst of laughter at Ajumako-Bisease community centre when a defeated parliamentary Aspirant of the governing New patriotic party ordered his men to send eleven cars he had bought for the party to where they were brought from.

Mr.Elisha Debra Odoom soon after the declaration ordered that the eleven hyndia i10 saloon cars be sent back to their destination. He had bought the cars purposely to be distributed to the 10 zones in the Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam Constituency and the Constituency office of the party.

Some delegates expressed their disappointment in Mr.Odoom, describing him as none party member.Jet Media Central Regional Correspondent Siisi Bentil reported that Mr. Odoom left the election venue soon after the results were announced by the E.C.

A delegate who wanted to remain anonymous accussed Mr.Debra of trying to use the cars to buy votes. Mr. Debra,a former Secretary of the party in the US state of Pennsylvania secured 67 votes to place third in last Saturday’s election.

The other three contestants namely Dr.Rashid Kwesi Etuaful,Ransford Kwesi Nyarko (former parliamentary candidate and District Chief Executive) and Richard Hagan polled 411, 232 and two votes respectively.
