An aspiring parliamentary candidate of the governing New patriotic party in the Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam Constituency of the Central Region is saying he would unseat the Member of Parliament for the Area if given the mandate by delegates come September,28 pools.
Dr. Rashid Kwesi Etuaful promised when he visited his Constituency last Thursday. The former KNUST professor told delegates that the battle to snatch the parliamentary seat from Hon.Ato Forson will only be easy in event the party give him the mandate to lead them as parliamentary candidate.
On his relationship with the District Chief Executive, The learned professor said he has no problem with Hon.Rev.Ransford Kwesi Nyarko, adding”I will not hesitate to apologise to him if he said I have offended him”. He said as part of measures to help the youth in the Area,he is helping 20 youths to undergo vocational and technical training at a school in Kasoa.
He gave GH 4900 to the 49 Electoral Areas in the Constituency to help their campaigning activities in 20 20 Election with a promise to contribute to that fund whether he wins the primaries or not. Dr.Rashid further appealed to the delegates to restore confidence in him as their Member of Parliament to be, saying what ever is due them in terms of development will never elude them should he, is voted to throw Hon.Forson out of Parliament.
He called on his colleagues in the contest to unite as they are all fighting for a common purpose.
