Asante Kotoko coach Kjetil Zachariassen has played down the significance of their CAF Champions League exit at the hands of Etoile Du Sahel.
The Porcupine Warriors had a 2-0 advantage from the first leg in Kumasi but collapsed to a shocking 3-0 defeat in the return fixture in Tunisia on Sunday.
A result which meant the Ghana Premier League giants dropped to the CAF Confederation Cup playoff stage.
“This [CAF Confederation Cup] is our level at the moment. We are in Confederation Cup, I think that’s the right level for us,” Coach Zachariassen told Kotoko Express App after the match.
“We’ve got to have to be realistic. We’ve got to be realistic because we have only worked together for three months”.
Asante Kotoko will know their opponent in the CAF Confederation Cup play-off round on October 6th.
